Holding a Master’s degree in Business Law and Tax Law from the Panthéon-Assas University (Paris II). He began his career in France as an in-house lawyer in the IT and banking sectors (1979-1992), before joining a Paris law firm (1992-1995). He then worked in an international French law firm (DS Avocats), first in its central Paris offices and then in Vietnam (1992-2010), where he was the resident partner in charge.
His dual French-Vietnamese culture, his long experience of practicing law and doing business in Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia and Laos since 1995, and his recognition by the institutional and business environment are key assets that benefit our clients.
He is able to propose innovative solutions matching our clients’ specific needs, help identify targets or investors in M&A operations and advises the client whether seller or purchaser throughout the whole process. He supports greenfield projects with dedicated project management to ease the implementation phase and ensure successuflu launching of operations.
Albert is also a registered arbitrator with the Vietnam International Arbitration Center (VIAC), Vice President of the Overseas Vietnamese Business Association (OVIBA), former Vice President 2005-2013 then Secretary General of the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Vietnam (CCIFV), French Foreign Trade Advisor (CCEF) and the former General Counsel of the French Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City until 2013.
Albert regularly presents the business environment in Southeast Asia and the modalities of structuring, incorporation and trade in Asean at seminars and conferences held by governmental agencies and international organizations, notably during EU-Vietnam Business Network (EVBN) trade mission to companies considering a market entry in Vietnam. He was also a teacher for the French-Vietnamese legal cooperation at the Maison du Droit and at the CFVG management school.
